As speculated earlier, it has now been learnt that the next big thing from UMi — the UMi Zero 2 — will indeed have a 20 mega-pixel camera.
UMi earlier teased a render on social media, which read ‘The best smartphone deserve(s) the best camera’, without revealing any details. 20 mega-pixel does sound tempting, but UMi has yet to announce what sensor it would use.
Another bit of info about the Zero 2 that we learnt today is that the phone will have a front LED flash for the 8 mega-pixel front facing snapper in addition to the high resolution rear camera. This does make the Zero 2 a powerful camera phone… but only on paper for now.
More details about the Zero 2 are expected in the coming days. The company is running a 9-stage teaser set, 3 out of which have been already announced.
The UMi Zero itself was a fairly impressive phone with a Super AMOLED display and a very sleek design, a combination that has eluded Chinese smartphone manufacture for quite a while.
