It’s been quite a while since a phone released with the MT6752 octa-core processor; the Mstar M1 Pro is one that happens to be among those.
The M1 Pro comes with a 5.5-inch 1280 x 720p display, and has 2GB of RAM to go with the aforementioned MediaTek MT6752 processor under its hood. The M1 Pro has a 13 mega-pixel camera on the rear to go with an 8 mega-pixel front, which does seem pretty attractive (ugh, only on paper – for now) for the price.
This dual SIM device has a battery rated 3000mAh, with Android 5.0 Lollipop taking control of software.
After a rush of MT6752 phones in the beginning of the year, Chinese phone makers (and perhaps even MediaTek) have shifted their focus to the new MediaTek MT6753 octa-core chip, which runs slower but has better network support. If you don’t need the added network support of the MT6753, the MT6752 is what you should look at, perhaps.
Coming back to the Mstar M1 Pro, the phone is priced at US$136.99 on Everbuying, which seems like a fair price to pay for an MediaTek MT6752 phone, especially considering these are a rare breed nowadays.
