Alcatel Idol 3 (4.7) with SD410 goes live in North America for $180

The 4.7-inch version of the Alcatel Idol 3 is now official in North America for US$180.

You’ll be able to purchase the phone starting 14th August via Alcatel itself, along with stores such as Amazon. It isn’t the most powerful phone you’ll come across this year, but if you haven’t been able to get your hands on the Xiaomis and the Honors from China, the Idol 3 (4.7) should be a good alternative.

It comes with a 4.7-inch screen and runs on the 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor. It also has 1.5GB of RAM to go with it, and along with that, an Adreno 306 GPU, a 13 mega-pixel main camera, a 5 mega-pixel front facing camera and lastly, a 2000mAh battery taking care of the hardware part on the phone.

Android Lollipop 5.0.2 will handle the software side on the Idol 3 (4.7). Given the price and specifications, it is going to compete against the mighty Moto G, among other phones.

As mentioned before, it’ll sell for US$180 in the US, and about CAD 235 in Canada

Seems nice cheaper and great alternative for Thebes Moto G in US
But for international buyers the Redmi 2 Pro version seems to be a better and cheaper choice
