After reports that IUNI would look at producing budget minded phones, another model has appeared on TENAA today with slender body and modest hardware.
The IUNI U0001, like the U2 and U3, is a completely different device in terms of build and design. The IUNI U2 was a unibody alloy phone, the U3 a polycarbonate device, and the new IUNI U0001 is an alloy and glass model similar to the Vivo X5 Pro.
Gizchina News of the week
IUNI are aiming at attracting fans of fashionable handsets rather than flagship hardware with the U0001 which packs modest hardware specifications. The 2.5D glass and alloy body houses a 1.3Ghz MT6753 octacore chipset, 2GB RAM, 16GB memory and a HD display.
Camera specs are an 8 mega-pixel front, and 13 mega-pixel rear. The design and the fact the front facing camera is of a higher pixel count than usual would suggest that IUNI will be hoping for more female buyers for the U0001.

If only they really support international buyer, every devices from them is absolute beauty and well concepted
eh iuni u2 looks and handles like ass. opinions and all i guess.
Can you install gapps in U3? maybe MIUI?
I have Play Store etc. on U3 running fine. Really like the phone and have had no problems at all. Very impressed with camera, screen and build quality – and no probs with battery. Would happily buy more at this price – for me I think it’s one of the best phones out there for that money.
Yes you can install Miui too, i have it on mine: bbs.zhiyoo.com/thread-9718208-1-1.html

They should have stuck to placing the camera device and soft from IUNI U2 – even if looking for more female buyers, this piece remains important and U2 has a heck of a camera.
Support sucks – that’s why I decided to for the bigger brother Elife E7. Even here it’s not perfect, but at least it is something.
IUNI U2 is compatible with allview x1 xtreme mini (EU rebrand) and walton promo z (bangladesh rebrand) roms. You are able to flash their vanilla kitkat android roms which runs very well. Unlikely will get lollipop, as I read IUNI OS won’t have lollipop for U2.
well i use the uni u3 in greece, since november, i a am very satisfied almost from everything BUT i had a really hard time to install the gapps (not as easy as it is now) and i am getting kinda sick and tired of the extremely minimal design of the software, meaning that they don’t give us options to personalise it to our needs. i can’t even change how the contacts appear (last name-first name). it’s a lot like apple. all the updates had just minor changes, not able to “see” them, the second slot is not working properly and WE NEED LOLLIPOP for god’s sake. they don’t give us notifications on on lockscreen and when i installed miui, 5.7.2 if i remember correct, the phone would heat up like crazy. so i came back to iunios 3.0 (the last update when we were expecting 5.0). AND we cannot communicate with the company. i know it’s under gionee but even iuni’s Facebook profile hasn’t been updated since the launch of iuni u2. it’s not the way things should be done.
im a male and i’ll BUY IT !
if its cheap
I’m another happy non-chinesse user of IUNI U3, love the entire rom, but i wish they release updates more often. Have no problems at all with Gapps 😀
you can try Miui, it is working good ( I am running the latest, Miui7), and you can translate it using MoreLocale.
Except the U2, IUNI made phones wasn’t nice design wise IMO. That one seems beautiful despite the fact its a TENAA pic.
144.9 x 69.8 x 6 mm dimensions means slim bezels at sides and a bit tall for a 5 incher, but its quite normal for that thinness. We shall see the battery.
HD display will help the battery life and performance with the MT6753.
Except build materials and thin form factor it’s a low end phone. They shouldn’t set the price high just because of these, otherwise they have to cut its prices in a short time as usual for inventory cleaning.
