Blackview are hoping to be your number one choice when venturing out in to the wilderness with a new rugged device called the Blackview BV5000.

Rugged Android phones are a niche market but do have their place for anyone who spends much of their woking day or even their free time braving the elements and being a tad more extreme than the rest of us.

These images are the first real photos of a new IP67 certified phone from phone maker Blackview. The Blackview BV5000 is a stark contrast to the Blackview Alife P1 Pro, and feature a 11.9mm thick rubberised body to help dissipate shock if dropped on to a rocky surface.

The rubber body also helps to seal the phone and Blackview claim that you will be able to use the phone in wet conditions and will even survive a full 10 minutes in the water.

We don’t know all the details of the BV5000 yet, but we have been told it will have a large 4780mAh battery with OTG reverse charging capabilities, support for 4G LTE, and come with Android 5.1, 2GB RAM and 16GB internal memory.

More details of the Blackview BV5000 and other Blackview devices are sure to pop up on their official website.

hope this time they give any post sale support (updates, fixes, a mail back) cos writing them to their e-mail is a waste of time.

It doesn’t look bad in my eyes. The problem I have is these rugged phones usually don’t have front line technologies.
