Among all the Chinese tablet brands it is Telecast who already have proven to make good quality products in the past and seem to get their specs right. The upcoming Telecast X98 Pro runs along the same high value road with a Windows 10 install.
Anyone who has knowledge of Telecast products will already recognise the Telecast T98 from last year, the T98 Pro builds on that earlier model with a bump in specs to boost performance and usability.
A quad-core Intel Atom X5 Cherry Trail Z8500 CPU lies at the heart of the Telecast T98 Pro with 4GB RAM and 64GB of onboard memory. Storage can also be expanded on with the use of a micro SD card slot. A 9.7-inch display means for a portable device while a resolution of 2048 x 1536 should allow to you make the most of the panel and fill it with all the tabs and apps you want.
Althoughthe specificationsare quiterobust, one of the most interestingfactorshere is the fact the Pro runs Windows10 right out the box. With its new tablet-centric navigation features Windows 10 is a powerful tool for the Chinese tablet.
Others specifications includes HDMI connection, Bluethooth 4.0, a 5.0MP rear camera and a 2.0MP front-facing camera that should be enough for video conferences, the device specs sheets also includes the ability to reproduce videos in the 4K resolution, there is a speed sensor and also a gravity sensor present in the package, everything powered by a 8000mAh battery.
The overall dimensions of the Teclast X98 are of 240mm x 169mm x 7.9mm and the Tablets constructions mixes plastic with some metal finish. The device may be officially launched in September but so far the specs seems impressive, as well the possibility to have a quite portable desktop with you. The pricing info isn’t published here but we don’t expect anything below $200 for these specs, and the segment, where the competition isn’t hard as it is for smartphones. Leave your opinion about the new Teclast X98.
Hi my friends any news on GearBest coupon sale for Teclast X98 Air 3G 64Gb? It’s currently $189.99 I need for it to be much more affordable just like in AliExpress, which goes for $162.99 free delivery. Any coupon would be much appreciated. Thanks!
I’ve always been a “pro choice” liberal freak, but seriously…Windows? what’s wrong with you people?!
Hey if it would have core m it would be an interesting buy (emulator machine)
I’ve actually been using Windows 10 for a week now on my work laptop. It’s actually not bad, it is a complete and shameless rip off of just about every Linux distro of the past ten years but it works a lot better than 8 and 7 did. Only thing I hate about is the forced updates and the fact that is still very resource heavy (which Windows on a PC will always be compared to Linux).
one of my friend is a fanatic of Windows.
I was at his house the other day and he was showing me his new Win10 with such a pride (he was almost getting emotional).
besides the jokes i made about the “new” features like Multi Desktop… i have to say that the OS isn’t not bad, it’s finally user friendly (with WiN8 i never understood what hell was going on).
i can’t stand the same BS of Microsoft though: We were on a Skype call the other day until he mysteriously hanged up. He showed up half hour later saying that the computer rebooted automatically to apply an update. Oh boy!
Those auto updates are starting to piss me off. The other day i got to work and needed access to a file for a meeting in 30 minutes. Windows decided it was time to update (you have no say) and it took like an hour.
There is advanced option that can show notification when restart is needed. Settings -> Updates -> Advanced options -> Choose how updates are installed.
I have that checked off already, the problem is the first time you go shutdown your computer and go to start up again the updates decide its time to install.
I have to say this is what bugs me most about the new Windows, the updates… they install whenever they feel like and seem to take forever … Linux updates are much more reasonable and easier to do…
Also I still find Windows isn’t really ready for tablet usage, not even Windows 10 I’d say …. And it’s not as light and fluent as Linux
So, where is the problem installing Linux (or whatever else you want) on this tablet?
It got an x86/x64 with x64 UEFI bootloader just like every other current PC…
Well the only problem would be secure boot if you can’t disable the damn thing. But I think even then it’s possible to install some Linux distros like Ubuntu that are signed with MS keys.
