Quite a few Chinese OEMs have tried their hand at budget MT6735 phones, including Doogee and Oukitel. iNew is the newest of the lot, with their new iNew L3.
The L3 comes with the ‘full version’ of the MT6735, i.e., it isn’t a downlocked version which the Doogee Y100 and the Oukitel U8 sported.
The cores run at their full speed of 1.3GHz. Along with the entry-level processor, the iNew L3 has 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage and a standard camera configuration of a 13 mega-pixel rear and a 5 mega-pixel front.
The front of the phone also houses a 5-inch 1280 x 720p display. It is interesting to note that more and more Chinese OEMs are moving towards phones with 5-inch screens now.
iNew has made some stylish phones in the past, including the V3 which was a massive hit. The pulsating LED strip continues to exist even on this new device, which iNew fans would certainly enjoy. Other than the stylish LED strip, the L3 sports a fairly simple and easy on the eyes design.
Looking at the prices of other MT6735 phones, the iNew L3 shouldn’t cost too much. Stay tuned for more!
I have the V3 and still is a nice device. Still hold well for me, and cool to have NFC on it. The only issue on it was the battery that was pretty small, 1850mAh. One thing that changed my mind about the MT6735 is the energy efficiency of it, of course the P version has a lower clock (998Mhz) and most of phones with it have a good battery life, I bet 2100~2500mAh in this one, so let’s see how the slightly powerful version will perform.
Ps: This L3 haven’t NFC, but has an other cool feature IR blaster =)
Good ol’ V3 🙂 Back in da days, it was selling like hot potatoes. Don’t forget about the faulty charging system too 🙂 Makes 1830mAh battery even weaker. Hope they learned something until now, so I’m looking foward to grab one for my parents.
MT6735 + 720P will mean some very good battery life.
Yep I’m pretty impressed with the results of battery life got by devices with that SoC.
