We’re starting to see some genuinely powerful budget tablets coming out of China. After Rockchip, Allwinner and MediaTek, Chinese tablet makers seem to have found the right combination in the Windows OS and an Intel SoC.
The Teclast X98 Pro is a new device that does the aforementioned and more. If you missed it, let me quickly take you through the specifications.
The X98 Pro comes with a 9.7-inch 2048 x 1536 QXGA IPS display, an Intel Cherry Trail T4 Z8500 quad-core processor @2.24GHz, 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM. If you care, there’s also a couple of cameras in a 5 mega-pixel rear camera and a 2 mega-pixel front facing camera.
