Blackview have posted a video comparing the WIFI signal strength of the Xiaomi Mi4, Samsung Note 4 and the Alife P1 Pro.
It might be something that we take for granted these days but there can be some rather large differences from phone to phone in terms of WIFI strength and reception.
In recent months we have seen many phone makers move to steel and alloy construction, and in some cases this has had a diverse effect on WIFI signal strength.
Blackview want to ensure their potential customers that WIFI isn’t going to be an issue with their Alife P1 Pro and have put together a video showing a comparison between the Xiaomi Mi4, Samsung Note 4 and Blackview Alife P1 Pro.
If we take the video on surface value then the Blackview Alife P1 Pro has an impressive WIFI signal strength and should be better than both the Xiaomi Mi4 and Samsung Note 4. The better test result could be due to the construction of the Blackview (less metal) which prevents interference.
Another reason for the high test score might be the WIFI network. We don’t actually see that each phone is on the same WIFI network in the test. Perhaps the router the Blackview it connected to is just physically closer than the router the other phones are using?
In other news Blackview will soon be releasing an OTA update for the Alife P1 Pro to greatly improve the camera, WIFI and other features. The Alife P1 Pro comes with a 5.5-inch display, MT6735 chipset, 13 mega-pixel camera, fingerprint scanner and 2GB RAM for just $119.99.
That’s the trouble with these manufacturer released videos, we have no idea if they are being honest or no as most are known to lie. There are always too many variable that they don’t show us to make these videos pointless.
