Just in: More renders, specifications of the upcoming Ecoo E05

Ecoo impressed one and all with the MT6752 powered Ecoo E04 (review) earlier this year. The company is set to succeed the phone with the E05, renders and specs of which have just been sent over to us.

The Ecoo E05 will sport a 5-inch full HD display in an age when 5.5-inch phones are the standard. I believe Ecoo are being smart here, because folks that tend to prefer 5-inch phones hardly have any options to choose from (of course there are a few, but that’s nearly negligible compared to what 5.5-inch phone users have).

The Ecoo E05 will have, apart from the 5-inch display, a MediaTek MT6753 processor, 3GB of RAM and a 13 mega-pixel / 5 mega-pixel camera combo… which is about the standard for most budget flagships from Chinese OEMs.

What can also be seen in the pictures below is a fingerprint scanner right below the camera module on the rear. The device is expected to go on sale by the end of this month, so if you’ve been holding off buying a 5.5-inch phone for a 5-inch one, this month might have some good news for you.

What a pity: I thought to hear something about the first phone with MT6755!

I’m not really interested so far. What should convince me to get this phone over Zopo Speed 7 or Doogee F3? Zopo promissed to release source code which is a huge advantage over other phones. F3 promises a great camera, metal construction and very low price.

These 2 phones should be available very soon (some people have already received their preordered Zopos). If Ecoo wants me to wait another month for their phone, they should give me some reasons to do it…

MT6753 that hasn’t been released yet: DOA. Don’t even bother to release this if you want to keep being profitable, but hey, love all the self-destructs!

My god – I forgot that this phone – exists… still launching a mt6753 device now is useless better go like every other manufacturer and go for a mtk6795 flagship

Well it’s available on Pandawill but while I would love a 5 inch phone for the same price I gave up and ordered a MT6795 Xiomi Note 2 which has much better specs and yeah, it’s a Xiaomi so not probably not a phone which the manufacturer will forget about.
