ZTE’s take on the rising fad of budget flagships from its home country meant for the international markets is the Axon Pro.
The phone doesn’t cost a bomb (i.e., as much as flagships from other mainstream brands), and does many thing right according to reviews. But it lacks the convenience of a microSD card slot and a fingerprint reader; these are a couple of holes with which the Axon Elite aims to fill.
If you’ve been following the news lately, you will also be reminded of the Axon variant that got network certification in China a while back. It turns out it was the ZTE Axon Elite!
Gizchina News of the week
The Axon Elite comes with a Snapdragon 810 processor akin to the OnePlus 2 (review), a 5.5-inch 1920 x 1080p display, 3GB of RAM, 32GB on-board storage (plus a microSD card slot), a 13 mega-pixel + 2 mega-pixel rear camera setup, an 8 mega-pixel front facing camera and lastly faux leather on the top and bottom edges of the phone.
The Axon Elite is expected to go on sale in the EU by the end of this month for €419.
Andi’s at the IFA where he spent some time with the Axon Elite, expect a hands-on post very soon!
