For those of you with a keen eye you will already have seen the similarity between the UMi eMax and certain TCL models, well the cooperation might run a little deeper.
Sources in China are now stating that TCL are on the look out to work with another phone maker to help boost overseas sales. Our sources says that TCL is less than impressed with the current Alcatel sales figures and has decided to now with with other up and coming brands.
So far we have already seen the UMi eMax with is an OEM TCL 3N with a redesigned battery cover, in the next few weeks we will also see the launch of the UMi eMax Mini, another rebranded TCL phone (the TCL S3).
It’s not uncommon to see phone makers diversify their phone brands, for example Lenovo have the Lenovo phone brand, Motorola and ZUK, ZTE have Nubia and Axon and now TCL have Alcatel One Touch and UMi?
