Siswoo have pounced on a gap in the market and launched an updated version of the C50 Longbow with LTE support for major U.S carriers.
The Siswoo C50 launched earlier in the year and managed to impress during our review. The original model, described as a Xioami Redmi slayer, came with LTE support but only for Chinese and European frequencies, a new model now adds U.S LTE support.
Customers in the United States have been looking at the Chinese phone market from the outside for years now. There is obviously an interested in the phones but lack of LTE support makes them a difficult prospect for customers.
Gizchina News of the week
The new Siswoo C50A Longbow, solves issues by adding 4G LTE 700/2600/1700/1900/2100MHz support. 700Mhz is used by AT&T and Verizon in the U.S, plus others. Going a step further Siswoo have already put the C50A through FCC tests so importing the phone shouldn’t raise any questions about safety.
Specifications for the Siswoo C50A include a Mediatek MT6735 chipset,, 5-inch display, 1GB RAM and 8GB internal memory. The phone is already on sale through some stores at around $130, and shop.gizchina.com are currently in talks to selling the phone too. Keep posted for more news.
