Following in the footsteps of Elephone and their Ele Watch, Mlais have gone ahead and teased their own Android Wear powered smartwatch.
Mlais made a bit of a name for themselves at the beginning of the year with the launch of the Mlias M52. The Xiaomi Redmi Note wannabe proved to be popular with 2GB RAM, MT6752 and price tag of only $150.
Since the M52, Mlais have also released the MX Base, and M7 flagship, but now their attentions have turned from smartphones to smartwatches.
Gizchina News of the week
Over on the official Mlais Facebook page, the company have recently teased a new wearable. 3 images of a stylish watch with round display have been posted showing a metal construction, and options of either leather or metal straps.
The only firm details we know about the watch at this stage is the device will be IP67 certified and come with Google’s wearable Android Wear specific OS. We wonder if the recently teased Ele Watch and new Mlias wearable might share the same factory? Keep posted for more news.
The stainless steel version looks identical to me, so I guess it will come down to price and availability. Bet mlais get theirs to market before elephone!
Not been too impressed with the Oukitel a28, so maybe an android wear watch is the way to go…
Android Wear is much better at handling all of your notifications and interacting with them. The only downside is the lack of a speaker for quick voice calls. I have a cheap LG G Watch and I have a hard time getting excited for any new watch unless it has a speaker built in.
My oukitel a28 has a pretty good speaker, but it’s impossible to use for making calls because I have to shout at my wrist for the other caller to hear me! Bad mic I guess.
