If there’s one thing (besides making phones, that is) that OnePlus know really well, it is marketing their products. There was a teaser which was sent out by the Shenzhen-based recently, showing something which certainly wasn’t a phone or anything close… because it was fabric.
Turns out, it was a leather case for the OnePlus 2 which the company want to sell for US$100. OnePlus also say that the case will be made in Italy, out of ‘ash grey washed and traditionally tanned buttery soft leather’ in an attempt to justify the high-ish asking price of the leather case.
The case is handmade by at Hard Graft, mentions the listing which also said at the time of writing that the product was out of stock.
OnePlus have forever maintained that they sell their phones at near-cost, while the profits come from accessories. One can’t help but imagine that quite a chunk of it will come from the Hard Graft Wild Phone Case, given the kind of appeal — and pricing — it carries.
and its apple 2
Wut
I have bought several cases for my oneplus one .all had been cheap amazon covers .I did however buy a flip case from oneplus recently as they were reduced in price ,I can honestly say the oneplus case is superior by far to any of the 3rd party cases ,this may have had a materials upgrade as a lot of people complained about their case when they first came out. I can see the hard graft case being a small run and will be constantly out of stock although I wouldn’t purchase at that price .I don’t doubt it will be high quality product but only appeal to a small amount of people.
what a load of shit. One plus trying to get people excited over a phone cover!!
Man the Lg battery cover costs 50 bucks and its always on – this is just an ovepriced carying pouch – Their wallets are class tho
