Metal has been a top choice for premium smartphone build materials for a long time, and leather is quickly becoming another by way of LG’s G4 flagship. With the rise of the smartwatch market and mass market adoption, smartwatches are being treated in the same light; in other words, adopters want premium build materials, water and dust protection, and functionality that matches smartphones. Shenzhen company Zeblaze has a smartwatch that is not only durable and functional, but has a name to boot.
The Zeblaze Crystal is a 1.54-inch smartwatch made of either metal or steel with a curved, 3D liquid crystal diode (LCD) display and 240 x 240p screen resolution. The display size is similar to that of Motorola’s first-generation Moto 360 smartwatch but boasts a square design that blends a square shape with the smartwatch’s rounded corners. The Zeblaze Crystal is waterproof and dustproof, so you shouldn’t have problems being in the elements and doing as you please while looking elegant at the same time.
Gizchina News of the week
The Zeblaze Crystal features a genuine leather strap as opposed to the multiple strap materials for the Moto 360, and the straps are interchangeable. Similar to how Samsung has set up its Gear S2, you can simply detach the band from the watch itself (which comes in either brown or orange colors) and snap the new one in effortlessly. The smartwatch is a Bluetooth-only paired watch that runs Bluetooth 4.0, but it syncs with both Android and iOS smartphones and allows you to track steps and monitor heart rate, in addition to an altimeter and barometer which help record outdoor temperature. Other functions include a stopwatch, calendar, alarm, device finder, voice command, motion gestures (including a wake-up gesture), sleep monitor, and even UI themes.
