Are you a morning person? The answer will vary, depending on whom you ask, but thereâs no denying that the earliest part of the day doesnât always bring out the best in us. If youâve ever looked at yourself in the mirror after waking up, you can agree that the wake-up face is what you hope to put behind you throughout the remainder of the day.
Whether or not you can throw off your âmorning faceâ as soon as youâd like, MediaTek is introducing its own face-enhancement technology known as PortraitPlay. As the name suggests, PortraitPlay is meant to correct your facial portrait when youâre video chatting in real time. The companyâs own advert says that PortraitPlay works best when youâre video chatting in 1080p (Full HD) video mode. The goal of PortraitPlay is to refine your face so that âwake-up faceâ look doesnât scare off your family, friends, and acquaintances. Just kidding.
Gizchina News of the week
PortraitPlay seems to work similar to beauty shot camera modes that are designed to enhance your facial features and “beautify” them a bit. The difference with PortraitPlay, however, is that it’s designed for video chat instead of simple camera shots.
