DOOGEE HOMTOM HT6 and HT5 major on battery life, up for pre-order on September 24th

Battery life is a never-ending problem these days, with devices coming in slimmer packages with smaller batteries while being counteracted by higher-resolution displays. Optimizations are key to battery performance improvements, and company promises can often matter little when your battery runs out just three hours after taking it off the charger.

HOMTOM is a company that gets the significance of battery life and has two smartphones to remedy this ever-growing problem: the HOMTOM HT6 and HOMTOM HT5.

The DOOGEE HOMTOM HT6 and HOMTOM HT5 have great battery life, though the HOMTOM HT6’s 6,250mAh battery dwarfs the HT5’s 4,250mAh battery. HOMTOM says that the HT6 can last up to a week with light usage, 3 days with heavy use, and provides up to 3 whole days of talk time (72 hours). The HOMTOM HT6 also comes in a 5.5-inch IPS LCD screen with an HD resolution of 1280 x 720p and the latest Gorilla Glass for durability. HOMTOM doesn’t explicitly mention Gorilla Glass 4 here, so it’s best to assume Gorilla Glass 3 with caution.

DOOGEE HOMTOM HT6 2

HOMTOM says the HT6 has an “ultra-thin” profile of 9.9mm, but it doesn’t seem that way when you compare it to, say, the 6.8mm profile of the Galaxy S6. At the same time, however, the HOMTOM HT6’s battery life is nearly 2.5 times that of the Galaxy S6, though, and for many, the tradeoff may be worthwhile. With your battery dwindling to 5%, HOMTOM says that your battery can still last 65 additional hours and then use HOMTOM’s “PumpExpress” fast-charging technology to bring your battery back to 75% within 30 minutes.

As for other features, the HOMTOM HT6 comes with a 5MP front camera, 13MP Sony back camera, and has smart gestures for screenshots and data transfers without a Wi-Fi connection (HotKnot), a 1Ghz, quad-core MediaTek MTK6735, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, and runs Android 5.1 Lollipop. This package can be yours for a pre-sale price of $139.99 (27% off the original price with GearBest). Both are up for pre-order at Gearbest.com on September 24th, although GearBest has the pre-order date starting on September 17th and stretching until October 15th. If you want phones that put battery life before all else, visit the press release and GearBest link below to pick up your HT6.

Battery Life is the Prime Concern of every smart phone owner..the minimum battery capacity, specified for any phone to come to consumer must be..5.5 inch..4000 mah ; 5 inch..3500 mah ; 4.5 inch..3000 mah..in order to free consumers from nagging battery worries, all day long. Damn the slimness or zero figure..practical sensible design above all must be priority.

It really all depends on what specs the phone has. A 6753 with 3000mAh battery and 720p display gives epic battery life. On the same token a SD810 with 4000mAh battery and 2k display will barely last a day. There is no one size fits all.

If it came down to a One M7 or any Doogee, I would pick the One M7. But your right for $150 you can get much better phones with updated specs.

I don’t question the choice between doogee and Htc, I can’t believe someone would pay around 200 dollars for a sd615 phone because of the “HTC” tag on it when you can better one here on gizchina.

Some people will pay more for a brand they trust, versus brands they never heard of or don’t have experience with. For some the brand name/experience matters more than the internal components. I know how that is because I bought a Gionee S7 which is a phone with internals that match the Jiayu S3 but costs $300 more. Why? Because I have had great luck with Gionee phones and never had any issues. I know I am getting an amazing built phone with an excellent camera.

Doogee and concern about battery life = major irony and another new ‘brand’.

Pretty sure resellers had the rear cams marked as 8mp (int.13mp) on these.

Hello guys , I have taken the HT5 and I must say that I am finding it quite well although it has characteristics lower all’ht6 . I preferred to 6 because I do not like the large sizes , so I should be comfortable this 5 inches which also has a great processor that does not send incrash apps and cameras leave quite satisfied , if you want to save money on purchases and do not want to pay customs go to this site where I bought the device : http://www.teknistore.com/inde
The shipping was fast and I was fine .
