In just a couple of days time Xiaomi will announce the Xiaomi Mi4c, and may also finally ship the phone in something other than plain recycled cardboard.
Since the launch of the Xiaomi Mi1, Xiaomi phones, tablets, and most gadgets have all shipped in plain recycled cardboard boxes. Its a sign that Xiaomi didn’t waste money where not necessary and it also showed the companies preference in green materials.

Xiaomi fans are getting a bit tired of the bland packaging though and we might see the Xiaomi Mi4c ship in something a little brighter. The picture above shows an orange box (matching the traditional Xiaomi colours) that might be used to ship the latest Xiaomi smartphone in.
Launching on the 22nd, the Xiaomi Mi4c is rumoured to come with a 5-inch 1920 x 1080 display, Snapdragon 808 six-core chipset, 3GB RAM, 32GB memory and a 3120Ah battery. Pricing is rumoured to be as low as 1499 Yuan but may increase to 1899 for a 64GB version.

They done that already way back with the Note Pro…
I liked the plain cardboard. It gives off a quality vibe, the old classic style.
