The Huawei Nexus is a device that has really got me all a buzz, and with the purported launch just days away more renders of the device have managed to surface.
Huawei building a Nexus phone is incredible for someone like me. When I started GizChina, there was no way I would believe that just 6 years later Chinese phones were going to be at the forefront of innovation, and even leading the market with flagship Nexus mobiles. That time has come and I get a little tingle each time I think about it!
The Huawei Nexus device has been seen in numerous leaks (as has the LG made model), but usually only its a white/silver colour, where as a new render shows the phone in a range of 4 hues. The render, originally published by Android Police, gives us the first glimpse at silver, black, white and gold Huawei Nexus phones, complete with Nexus branding, fingerprint scanner and a bulging camera area.
Gizchina News of the week
Soaking in the 4 colour options for the first time a few things spring to mind. Firstly, the black option is really drawing me in (I want one). Secondly, there is way too much going on on the rear its a bit of a mess with Huawei and Nexus branding. Thirdly, I hope it doesn’t look as long or as ugly in the flesh.
Google’s 29th September event is only days away now, not long till we finally see the Huawei Nexus in the flesh! Who is already saving a space in their phone collection for the first Chinese Nexus?
Such a shame they didn’t make that top bar in the same colour as the rest of the back, that would’ve been so much nicer. I’ll be waiting for the new Nexus 5 as this Huawei is too big and unattractive for my liking.
It is an ugly beast in these renders. Could it look better in the flesh though?
I’ve seen some hideous renders that looked better in the flesh, OP2 is one example.
Btw why the lack of reviews lately? Yash was supposed to be doing a Gionee S7 one a few months ago.
The black one looks more appealing to me too
I would have totally gone with this one if it wasn’t for the SD810.
My thoughts exactly. Spent two weeks with a OP2, heating is still present, it’s just not as noticeable due to thermal paste and graphite. Eventually 810 phones will start to see hardware failures due to the heat. I give it a year.
where have you been?
I’ve not seen you in a while, i was starting to worry.
Moved back to the US and have just been incredibly busy.
Yes for sure it is an interestingbphone but i ask myself if snapdragon 810 is good ???? I am not sute which phone to buy huawei nexus , huawei mate s or the upcoming oppo 9
I love it in Black, others need to see in person first.
