LeTV have released some interesting TV and content streaming device today, but it is their LeTV X40 smart TV costing only $266 which has me reaching for the credit card!
LeTV are no strangers to the living room, their online video streaming service has been a firm favourite in China for years, and their LeTV branded smart TV’s have been on sale for some time also.
During a launch in China today, LeTV announced a hundle of new TV’s ranging from the massive Max 65 all the way down to the LeTV X40. As you might have guessed the X40 is a 40-inch screen TV which comes with a 1920 x 1080 FHD resolution, to keep the cost down.
The X40 shares similar specifications with the X43 (43-inch screen TV costing $297) including a quad-core A9 1.5Ghz processor, Mali 450GPU, MACE-PRO image processing engine, 2GB RAM, 8GB memory and 16w speakers driven by LeTV’s Magic 2.0 sound system.
Design features a nice simple border design and basic alloy stand. Pricing of these TV’s is for the Chinese mainland, and at this time it wouldn’t make financial sense to import a TV from China (shipping, customs etc), but we hope that LeTV’s international expansion will also mean the official release of all their devices around the globe.
We have move coverage of the LeTV smart TV range coming so keep posted.
