Newcomer Zaydo releases the impressive Zaydo Pulse

Here at Gizchina, we love to see new manufacturers stepping up to table to provide us with more new and interesting devices to talk about, and new smartphone maker Zaydo has done just that with their first phone, the impressively specced Zaydo Pulse.

The Zaydo Pulse is powered by a Snapdragon 810 processor clocked at 1.5GHz + 2GHz, along with 4GB of RAM, 32/64GB of internal storage, a 5.5-inch 1080p Full HD IPS display, a Sony IMX214 13MP rear camera, a front facing 5MP camera and a decently sized 3100mAh battery. The device also supports microSD cards, thought the maximum capacity hasn’t been stated.

On the outside, the device has a rather clean and simplistic design. The rear appears to be a matte plastic cover that can be removed to reveal the removable battery, microSIM card slot and microSD card slot. A solid metal band goes all around the device, and the front is dominated by the display. The Pulse measures in at an impressive 154.1 × 76.5 × 5.55 mm and weighs 151g. It will come in two colours, Smoke White and Midnight Black.

The 32GB Zaydo Pulse will cost you an affordable $319, while the 64GB model goes for $369. It’s currently on pre-order on their website, and the devices are estimated to ship on the 20th of October. What do you think of the Zaydo Pulse? Tell us in the comments below.

I’m skeptical with new brands and i always wait for thousands of reviews.
for this reason the pre-order formula doesn’t work for me.
i hope it turns out to be a good brand like LeTV did: the more the merrier.

the phone itself doesn’t appeal me:
i think that a debut with SD810 was a bad choice and a MT6795 or a SD808 would have been better.

hopefully they keep going making other phones so we can see their potential

I hate the 6795 chinese mans begin to overuse in and it isnt a leap at al. From the last year 6595 apart from corepilot and 64 Bit , Also rougly the same antutu

I really don’t do that much with my phone to complain about a SoC (unless it’s a SD615 or SD400).

I’m on SD801 right now and I’ve always been on balanced mode and never felt the need to switch to performance mode.

so the MT6795 would be plenty for me, actually the more gentle with battery is the better it is

isnt that a fake company?? no impressum or other details about owner etc.. also no ffacebook twitter or weibo.. no other payments that credit card..no real life photos of the device.. the measurements seem wrong since with a 5.5 and that big bezels on over and under the display it seems somehow wrong..
never heard of it after googling along time no press conference or real chinese news paper article about it… they say it is in pre production and deliver10/20 but they should have already prototypes on hand also only 5.5mm with that big battery never heard of it on other high end phones..

My thoughts exactly. Suspiciously reminds of fake companies like Xodiom, which was even advertised on PhoneArena and TechRadar.

Perhaps nowadays it is enough to create an email with domain name and some journalists will gladly publish all the rubbish.

Yeah, totally fake if you ask me.
I mean, an official teaser image said something like “Snapdragon 810, quad core @2.7ghz”… Really?! They published the image of their own product, and they doesn’t know what is inside it, or even the basics of mobile technology?!
And the battery… 3100 mah?! Everyone can see it’s too small to be really what they say…
After some time they changed the specs on the image, but c’mon… It’s obviously a fraud born at the times of snapdragon 805…

reviews first … good hardware doesnt guarantee a good phone

              September 28, 2015

To be fair. Your original posts is completely different and definitely nonsense. While I agree more needs to be seen, the hardware/price ratio doesnt meet the “too expensive” condition.

    This is ridiculously fake.

    1. The domain zaydo.com is up for sale, https://auctions.godaddy.com/trpItemListing.aspx?miid=44009370

    2. The listed address for “HQ” of Zaydo corporation looks like a dummy address, listed by many other dubious looking companies. https://goo.gl/AQu6ML

I really hope in future Gizchina will take the time to verify companies instead of just printing without any checking whatsoever.

  13. September 27, 2015

Looks like Zaydo doesn’t have a pulse.

    Wow amazzing flaming from folks.
    Trashing a company…sentencing guilty before any trial….

Whether they can startup and start selling. Let them proof it.
Give them a fair chance instead of trashing them straight away.

Address: common practice for a chinese company to register in Hong Kong.
Companies register at notary, accountant or P.O. Box addresses.
Totally the same as in Europe or the U.S.

.com address registered….Yep godaddy has a crawlerbot programmed to ‘snap away’ interesting domain names and leasing it out (or selling it for big money).
They probably forgot to register the .com address. You can call them stupid…or they might have the money to purchase the domain.

    • Steve B
      September 29, 2015

That makes no sense. The domain is registered by a Ufuk Acikalin with Names.com. The current registration period ends the end of the year, so the fact that it is up for auction ending in October suggests they want to shot of it very shortly.
It’s not a case of leasing out the domain, why would any reputable company lease a domain available for under $1k if they had long term plans and then leave the auction for it open. Try again….
