ZUK have announced their ‘world debut’ by launching the ZUK Z1 for sale on Ebay in France and Spain.
The ‘world debut’ might be limited to those countries for now (and perhaps a few other EU nations where shipping is available) but it is a grand first step for the start up to make their phones available outside of China.
Each store is official and sell the international version of the ZUK Z1 at a price of 279 Euros with free shipping, however, as far as we can tell ZUK don’t have an office or customer service operation in Europe which makes us wonder how repairs and warranty will be handled.
The ZUK Z1 is currently the only Chinese phone that has official CyanogenOS support and ships with CM21.1 running on a Snapdragon 801 chipset and 3GB RAM. The phone also comes with a 5.5-inch FHD display, dual sim LTE, USB Type C and large 4100mAh battery.
Thanks for the tip Andi 😉
Unfortunately, the product is not yet (or no longer) in stock in the French shop 🙁
So does this mean that Cyanogen OS is finally ready for ZUK Z1 yet? I’ve been waiting for the finalized release of COS to flash it on my Z1. Will you have a tutorial for flashing it on ZUI Z1, Andy?
I think you mean CM12.1 and not CM21.1 :).
