The Galaxy Note 4. Xiaomi Mi Note. OPPO Find 5. Motorola Moto X. Motorola-Google Nexus 6. The iPhone 6 and 6 Plus. What do all of these smartphones have in common? Doogee says that its own smartphones provide the answer: 2.5D glass.

2.5D glass is a term that refers to a slight improvement in design with current smartphones. Traditional 2D glass smartphones provide straight edges at the end of display (a “square” shape, if you will), while 3D glass displays have the edge design similar to what you’ve seen in the Galaxy S6 edge and Galaxy S6 edge+, as well as the upcoming BlackBerry Priv. 2.5D glass sits between both of these designs, with the look of normal smartphones but adds rounded edges to glass displays.

Doogee says that 2.5D glass designs are used in a number of high-end smartphones such as those named above, but its own collection leads the way in the number of smartphones that feature 2.5D glass. The company has a total of 5 smartphones that all sport the feature: the Doogee Y100 Pro, Y100 Plus, Y100X, F3, and F3 Pro.

I think that might be the least interesting fact in the history of the world.
And has anyone actually seen an F3 in the wild?

Is the Chinese phone market really this slow today that this pointless ‘story’ has to be made into an article? I’m currently using a 2.5 year old Tianhe H920+ and that even has a beautiful 2.5D glass screen, so not exactly a new thing really!!

2.5D is only good for a single thing, broken screens.

It takes a small bump to break any 2.5D phone.
