Phone fans of India can rejoice once again as another Chinese phone maker confirms it will officially launch its latest flagship in the country.

Bluboo recently revealed the specifications of both the Bluboo Xtouch and Xtouch Pro and now following up on those details with confirmation that they plan to release the phone in India through network provider Aircel.

To recap, specifications of the Bluboo Xtouch are a 5-inch 2.5D 1920 x 1080 display, 3GB RAM, Mediatek MT6753 octacore chipset, 5 mega-pixel front camera, 13 mega-pixel rear and 3050mAh battery. For the Aircel version in India, the Xtouch will see internal storage expanded from 16GB to 32GB.

Gizchina News of the week

Bluboo join phone makers, Elephone, Lenovo, Huawei, Xiaomi, Meizu and many many others who also see the Indian phone market as their next big step.

There is no confirmation of the launch date, or if the flagship Xtouch Pro with Helio X10 will also make the trip to India, but pricing for the standard 32GB phone has been announced at Rs 14999 ($229). Is that the type of pricing you are willing to pay for this 5-inch Chinese phone?

    A little confused.
14999 for the helio x10 version or the MT6753?

If its for the MT6753 they they are crazy and didnt do their homework about the indian smartphone market.
Lenovo is a reputed brand in India and sells many MT6752, MT6753 phones for less. So does other brands.

For gods sake Xiaomi MI4 16gb version and Huawei Honor 6 is avail. for the same price.

But if the price is for Helio x10 version. Then its very intresting.

the 53, the helio x10 isn’t confirmed for India yet

I think the price of $229 for a 5-incher, 3/32GB and Helio X10 would be a great bargain. But I lost trust in Bluboo after failed promises, false release dates and zero customer support.

15000 rs for mt6753? no way. they cant even sell more than 1000 sets in india. we have lenevo k3 and meizu m2 note with same chipset for 10000, infocus m 810 with snapdragon 801 for 13000, and mi4c snapdragon 808 for 15000. why we even think for this crap. it will be a big flop in india

Think Aircel + Bluboo will be doing booboo after this. They forget that there is internet in India and Gizchina on the internet. plus the many other websites. πŸ˜€

Andi, I’d swear that I recently (past 2 weeks?) read an article here about a well spec’d Chinese smartphone that said it would be dual boot Lollipop + WP10. Do you recall which phone? Thanks!

I think it was a tablet… There are some with dual boot, but no smartphone yet as i recall

dear @Andi Sykes, in your last post you released different specs, what happened??

“The more affordable Bluboo X500 will get a Medaitek MT6752 chipset…”

please let it be this soc and not the 53 version!! if not, i might have to wait for the pro version…
also, this is way to expensive. the price some resellers are putting up for presale sounded much more realistic at around $170.

well, sadly the official specs show an MT6753 soc. πŸ™

@Gizchina:disqus on another note: you NEED to attend the “2015 Global Sources Autumn Electronics Show”, as BluBoo is there too and not only promised to show something new, but have already posted a picture of their booth and the banners have a XTouch and a smart watch on it! you might be able to get your hands on the Xtouch on that show! please be there!!! πŸ˜€

The price is $50 higher then other phones with similar specifications (Zopo Speed 7, Doogee F3, Blackview Omega Pro). Does it even have an SD slot? I didn’t see it mentioned. That would be total fail.

    • Max
      October 12, 2015

well, you’re not quite wrong, but you ain’t right either. none of them has a fingerprint scanner, all of them have weaker batteries, the doogee f3 just has normal HD and 2GB ram (you thought of the f3 pro, didn’t you?), the blackview omega pro only has an HD-panel. none of them will have the materials that guarantee the Bluboo a fantastic (hopefully) build quality! so… no. none of them compares to it. πŸ˜‰
