JiaYu is in a bit of tangle, or so it appears… but despite that, the Chinese smartphone maker that happens to be the favourite of many around the world has put together the JiaYu S4, the next flagship in line.
Shared on the JiaYu Deutschland Facebook page, the following pictures show how the upcoming JiaYu S4 will look like. JiaYu has since long drawn inspiration from the iPhone (in varied amounts), which seems to be the case this time round too.
The S4 does however have something about it that screams JiaYu. The simple design, the metallic edges… I don’t know what, but its there. Also, you don’t have to look too closely to realise that the JiaYu S4 looks a lot like the Xiaomi Mi 4i or the Mi 4c from the front (also add Xiaomi Mi 4 for the edges).
The phone doesn’t appear to be too thin unlike most phones of today. According to the post by JiaYu Deutschland, the pictures were taken in the Shenzhen offices of JiaYu, where the factories have a capacity of minting 1,500,000 JiaYu S4 every month.
Could the JiaYu S4 spell the reincarnation of the JiaYu we’ve known for a good part of the 2010’s decade?
Did they improve the specs on their last announce of the S4?
Nice, but if its back is plastic, matte one would be better.
Please 4.7 inch and a higher middle class HW, like it was announced originally. Not the original 2014 HW but rather 2016 HW. But I’m afraid this won’t happen and it will be another general mediocre 5″ phone.
Please 5.5 inch and removable battery, an smartphone with 5.5 inch display fits perfectly in a pocket. I expect a new model with 5.5 inch, otherwise I will buy the new Meizu Blue Charm Metal (M3 Note?).
Theres already enough 5.5 inchers, and 5inchers to a lesser degree these days, A 4.7inch please
All of them are clones, the big difference between these clones and the new Jiayu could be the quality of building and better optimization of the software, the new agreement with TFAndroid is a great improvement.

All of them are clones? Clones of what?
Most Chinese companies use proto-boards from ARM or other Subs and make slight changes or radically change.
who will even use those 5.5 inch. What’s wrong with 5 inch or below?
If not 5 inch, I ain’t buying.
If smaller than 6 inch I will pass. Come one you manufacturers vary a bit. There is a market for small and big!
5.5 is the perfect size to me for a phone.
In SE-ASia they are really popular. I cannot understand why you need a tablet sized phone. I think the perfect size 4.3-4.7″ not more than that…
Maybe they can’t fit all of a bunch of specifications in thin+small sizes then you also get higher temperatures and lesser screen size which in order to enjoy MEDIA is a no go.
I think those are the reasons for not going back to smaller. Get the point out of apple and why they had to go bigger in order not to lose market share.
Now I believe 5.2″ is the perfect size for a cellphone, but I’ve found myself absolutely comfortable in 5.5″ while using it although not the same while in the pocket but it’s a sacrifice I do like given that I need my screen size.
