Yesterday’s Xiaomi teaser showed a camera with removable lens and today a razor with removable head. We think we were on to something.
While much of the internet consider yesterday’s Xiaomi teaser to be confirmation of a Xiaomi branded DSLR, I looked between the lines and considered that Xiaomi’s marketing team were concentrating on the detachable aspect of things. Today’s teaser confirms it.
Today we have an image of a razor with removable head, of course we don’t expect Xiaomi to release a razor on the 19th (well not as their main product), but something with a detachable feature is looking more and more likely.
Personally I think we are going to see a Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 launched on the 19th October. I believe that the Mi Pad 2 will also be what rumours of a laptop have been speaking about too, and that the device is going to be more like a MS surface or iPad Pro than a regular Android tablet. A 9.7-inch Xiaomi tablet with easy to snap on keyboard priced competitively would make it perfect for students and customers wanting the versatility of a tablet, and the productivity or a fully fledged laptop.
While I’m sure the Mi Pad 2 will launch this month, I am a little worried about the OS the machine will run. It is possible that we might see a version of MIUI, or has Xiaomi’s and Microsoft’s recent work culminated in a Windows 10 Mi Pad 2? Could it be a dual-boot and offer both? What do you guy’s think?
I agree, I would happily welcome a nice build dual boot tablet with a decent keyboard and of course an aggressive price tag
8 inch tablet with stylus!
