First batch of ZUK Z1 phones seem to have landed in the EU, and are being sold via Amazon.
If you’re in Spain, Italy, France, Germany or the UK, you can head over to the Amazon and take home the new phone from the Lenovo sub-brand.
The ZUK Z1 is essentially a phone for power users that don’t use their device for gaming too much. With its rather massive battery and not the newest, yet one of the most power efficient processors, going through 2-3 days of normal usage is a breeze for the Z1.
It comes with a 5.5-inch screen, a Snapdragon 801 processor, 3GB RAM, 64GB on-board storage, 13 mega-pixel main camera, 8 mega-pixel front-facing camera and of course, the previously mentioned massive 4100mAh battery. The Z1 comes with a USB Type-C port like most other phones of this season.
The Z1 is also in the list of phones to receive Android 6.0 Marshmallow in the first quarter of 2016, so that should have your software part covered.
2014: sd801 can handle everything, can run every single app, massive games included
2015: sd801 cannot handle everything because… Because there are better socs out there, so it can’t run the very same app it run the provious year. But hey, it’s power efficient!
Don’t be so harsh, the 801 is still a beast of a chip, AND is more power efficient than many of this year’s chips…
What he can’t handle ?

Nailed it
Most flagship SoC’s from last year will handle 99% of what the play store offers.
Totally agree with you. Sd801 is better than 810 in realracing 3 (40fps vs 35 in 1080p) so dont undetstand this part of the article
It comes too late and its not cheap…
I do like the ZUK Z1 A LOT but would have preferred they had use the SD805 with Quad 2.7ghz if they were scared of the SD810, then again who knows what this companies are thinking. I love a phone to deal with REAL life and this is a good example that could improve even more if they keep the right direction. A twisting quarter body IMHO is a call for disaster as it might be prone to break and get REALLY EXPENSIVE!!!
Yea an sd 805 might have justified the price but still Xiaomi mi4c exists with most of the boxes checked.
The only problem with this phone is imo the price
$299 is roughly the price you will pay for the 64GB OnePlus One, cheapest I could find the 64GB Mi4 is $349. Both of those phones have the same SD801, this phone has a few extras thrown in. It’s a good value.
And the battery should perform great too
Turns out the “ZUKZ1” coupon code works on GeekBuying too – and the price this gets you there is even 5 bucks cheaper – USD 294.99!
