The Oukitel K6000 follows in the same footsteps as its smaller-battery brother, the Oukitel K4000, and both are known for their battery sizes. Battery life is one thing that smartphone users can never get enough of, and Oukitel seems to “nail” this along with some measure of shatter resistance (the hammer and nails test is still one of our favorites). We’ve been waiting on further details for the Oukitel K6000, and the company has finally supplied something in the way of a pre-order availability for the device. The date? October 20th. The price for the K6000? $139.99.
This price is something of a special Halloween offer, and the specs themselves are surprising when you consider the price. For $139.99, you’re getting a 5.5-inch, HD display with 1280 x 720p screen resolution, a 1Ghz, 64-bit quad-core MediaTek MT6735P processor, Mali-T720 GPU, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage with a 32GB microSD card slot, a 5MP front camera, 13MP back camera, with Android 5.1 Lollipop pre-installed. The Oukitel K6000 is known for its reverse charging capabilities which will allow you to use the device to charge other devices, and its 6,000mAh battery can hold up for 10 days with normal use. Just 5 minutes of traditional charging can keep you talking for an additional 2 hours – so the sooner you place the device on the charger, the better.
There are some interesting additional features with the Oukitel K6000, apart from the utility features we all demand in a device. One such feature is called Remote Capture, and it allows you to take photos by saying “Capture” or “Cheese,” hands-free. Samsung Galaxy smartphone users will recognize this feature, as Samsung places this same capability under its own voice control settings on smartphones such as the Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy S5, for example. Gesture Unlock controls will also allow you to unlock the device, bypassing the lock screen in the process.
So, buyers, get your money ready for tomorrow, October 20th, as that is the appointed date for Oukitel K6000 pre-orders. Anyone interested?
