Oukitel U7 Pro specs out; it’s still fairly entry-level

Oukitel’s U7 is known as a very affordable phone. The device is well under $100, and at one point in time, it sold for a mere $49.99.

The factory has since given it a makeover along with a ‘Pro’ in the model name so it reads ‘Oukitel U7 Pro’. Specifications are fairly similar to the original Oukitel U7, and the phone is still very low-end.

The U7 Pro gets the MediaTek MT6580 quad-core SoC, a switch from the MT6582 of the original U7. Besides, there’s still only 1GB RAM and a 8GB on-board storage, confirming that the U7 Pro might be Pro but still a fairly entry-level phone.

The display is 5.5-inches with an HD resolution of 1280 x 720, which is a neat touch for a $70 phone. An 8 mega-pixel rear camera and a 2 mega-pixel front camera also make an appearance on the Oukitel U7 Pro.

Lastly, Android 5.1 Lollipop is what takes charge of all that’s mentioned here in tandem with a 2500mAh battery. As mentioned, the phone is $70 which doesn’t sound like a bad price to pay for anything as smartphone as the U7 Pro. Or is it? Let us know in the comments section!
