Bluboo have released the official pricing details for the standard version of the Bluboo Xtouch.
The Xtouch promises to be a feature packed phone, but Bluboo, the makers of the handset, aren’t forgetting that their fans know them for value for money which explains the lower than expected launch price. Bluboo will sell the Bluboo Xtouch through authorised online Chinese tech resellers, with pricing of the standard edition phone set at $179.99.
Bluboo are marketing their latest creation as one of the best 5-inch smartphones currently on the market. On the surface that seems like a bold claim, but really in today’s market there are very few 5-inch phones to choose from.
Features that the Bluboo Xtouch brags are JDI sourced 1920 x 1080 FHD IPS,OGS display with pixel density of 441ppi. The Xtouch should also grab the attention of photographers with a tried and tested Sony IMX214 13 mega-pixel main sensor, while selfie fans will love the 8 mega-pixel Omnivision sensor and F2.0 aperture.
Gizchina News of the week
A slender 5.5mm alloy chassis manages to house an octacore Mediatek chipset, 3GB RAM and 32GB internal memory. The phone also comes with a 360 degree fingerprint scanner beneath the 2.5D Gorilla Glass 3 display. The rear of the phone is treated to more curves with what Bluboo call a 3.0D mirror cover.
The 3 -in 1 SIM tray is unique to the Bluboo Xtouch and lets the user use dual SIM cards and a micro SD card at the same time! Other phone makers force the customer to choose between dual SIMs or a single SIM and micro SD card.
Finally there is HIFI audio quality sound, a 3050mAh battery and fast charger and Android Lollipop OS all thrown in for good measure too.
Bluboo are also set to launch a more advanced version of the Xtouch with 4GB RAM and more powerful chipset choice, but at this stage there is no mention of when it will go on sale or how much it might cost. Details of the standard Xtouch though are available over all the Bluboo website.
But no official release date yet right?

Phone will be available from 19 or 20 november 2015 (Source: Geekbuying and 4PDA).
That is a very long time. Since I waited so long for my next 5″ phone, I’ll probably want one that will have Android 6. It brings a lot of useful improvements.
Let’s see if any manufacturer will be able to bring it until end of November. The phone looks very nice but I’m missing NFC and e-compass. I also have doubts about the SW support.
