At 6.2mm the Cubot X16 is going to be one of the slimmest, “affordable phones” not a lot of money will buy. Latest news tells us it will feature a scratch resistant display and feature gesture controls too.
There are a few features to the build of the Cubot X16 which make it standout from the rest of the low-cost crowd. For example the body is just 6.2mm thick and is made of a lightweight Zinc Alloy material, then there is a 2.5D curved display and you can add in a scratch resistant feature to make the device all the more durable.

All the hints Cubot have released are pointing towards a phone that isn’t going to cost a huge amount of money (powered by a Mediatek MT6735 chipset), but one that might feature a more premium build and a higher level of ‘craftsmanship’.
