Newest numbers from China confirm that Huawei, and not Xiaomi is the number one phone maker in China (with regards to smartphone volume).
The analysis comes from China-based firm Canalys which claims that Huawei has trumped Xiaomi in the race for the numero uno phone maker in the world’s largest smartphone market of China.
Both Huawei and Xiaomi have had a gala time in 2015 so far, with most phones from both brands being a hit in China and elsewhere. Huawei has a much stronger international presence than Xiaomi, as you might already be aware.
The exact sales figures haven’t been obtained as yet, and are numbers for the third quarter for this year, i.e., Q3 2015. Huawei has tasted success with its new Honor 7 smartphone, while Xiaomi has had to make a comeback with the Redmi Note 2 after the Mi 4i failed to grab the market share the company would’ve hoped for.
With the new Mi 4c now on sale, Xiaomi will hope to grab lost ground.
Of course they should have taken this position long time ago. Solid build quality, good pricing, metal finishing (unlike xiaomi), wide range of devices to choose from. But I’m always aware that they may include some spywares/trackers in your device (base on the request of China’s government) so any good thing will come with a price.
Still in the past I see
Xiaomi has equal build quality and most of their devices are cheaper than their Huawei counterparts….
You think!!?
Huawei have Nexus 6 and Honor 7, and whot does have Xioami?
Mi4c with “very good” 4h of SoT and KitKat?
We are talking about Chinese market are we?
In my opinion they will sell more MI4C and Redmi Note2 than Nexus6 without GAPPS and old SoC Honor7.
I’ll remind you this conversation in 3 months 😉
Huawei in China has great service .
They are ranked top in the basis of Customer Satisfaction in China .
Maybe for this their sales is rising in China .
I think it will be tight .
Winner is hard to predict .
I’m not surprised that Huawei jumped in the first spot.
in Q3 Huawei already launched their main phones (Honor,Mate) while Xiaomi was still selling their last year phones except for the Redmi Note 2.
The MI4C wasn’t launched yet, the MI5 still has to be released.
I don’t think the MI5 will be released in time, so if it’s not Q4, then definitely Q1 2016 will tell the real Gap between the 2 companies.
and that’s the reason i came out with my previous comment.
is this article about sale in China or biggest numbers of total sale!?
i think you got it wrong.
i got it right, i was checking if you got it right since you mentioned the Nexus
So, what did you find out!?
Did you just find out that Huawei produces Nexus 6???
Or that Huawei is also Chinese!?
Anyways, check out this news again.
You should check your sources and maybe use a different translator.
anyway, I’m done with this discussion, no time for such a thing.
anyway, just read hedline.
HUAWEI is now no1. PHONE MAKER in China.
what about that line YOU don’t understand!?
i guess, you realy need to use another translator.
PRODUCING phones is not same as selling it “in china” as you are trying to say Xaomi is doing better.
huawei produces more and sell more devices worldwide, and that is what this article is about.
dude, just read, don’t try to be righ all the time, by any cost
the one who’s trying to be right at any cost is you.
there’s no mention to the global market in the article, nor in the headline.
actually you didn’t even have to bother to read the whole article as all the infos are in the headline:
Huawei is NOW (Q3- it means it wasn’t in Q2) #1 phone maker in CHINA (not in the US, not Russia, not globally)
XIAOMI NO LONGER should make you assume that it was before.
In fact it was in Q2.
Huawei is NOW (Q3- it means it wasn’t in Q2) #1 phone maker in CHINA!!!!
dude, what you don’t understand in that line!?
#1 phone maker in CHINA
dou you know what is phone maker, what that meens!?
if i try to explain that to the rock, it would understand and you cant….
dude, try to use your brain.
i usually don’t respond to trolling but i want to remind you that Lollipop is actually installed on about 12% of the active devices (m.androidcentral.com/lollipop-now-available-over-10-percent-active-android-installs)
and it doesn’t even run nicely.
and Xiaomi is on the list of those brands who is going to get Marshmellow.
trolling?
you meen this: “Q4 will be a different story”!?
and…you base that on what!?
anyway….we can talk on this after Q4 ends.
based on the fact the all huawei phones (Honor and Mate) were out while only the Redmi Note 2 from xiaomi was released.
Now they have the MI4C to count for Q4 and soon the MI5 for Q1 2016.
You are forgeting Xiaomi’s indian “flagship”!? Yes, it’s sale doesn’t go as Xiaomi did expect, but it’s here.
Name Nexus rings a bell!?
There will be sold more Huawei Nexus devices then Mi5 and Mi4c together.
But, ok, it is just my guessing, we will be here in few months.
I had the suspect you didn’t understand the meaning of the article and you have just confirmed it to me right now.
In the article they are talking about the market share in China and not globally.
WoW! you fought hard man!
i haven’t fought, i was trying to recover this guy from the non sense he was saying.
i had to give up though, i think he’s hopeless.
I’m glad you came by here, because I’m starting to doubt myself now:
am i losing my mind here?
am i getting the Alzheimer out he’s wrong somehow? (i still don’t know what he’s talking about)
Nah I think you are still healthy, He just didn’t grasp what you want to say OR he’s plain Hopeless
he’s been twisting his words that i really don’t know what he thinks.
does he think worldwide?
did he think produce and not sell?
anyway, since xiaomi is not a public company we don’t know their numbers.
what we have here is an extimate
made by some analysts.
we have other analysts that came out with total different numbers:
look at what IHS technology says:
Yup as they aren’t public there are exact numbers
Globally the Nexus 6p will be sold more than MI5 and MI4c together.
Of course, the MI4C is not sold outside China and the MI5 is not out yet, and even if it comes out tomorrow it will be sold outside China only several months later.
So the number of MI4C and MI5 together sold outside China is zero.
So im guessing you meant inside China right?
Then I’ll say that the MI4C alone would sell more than the Nexus 6P ( inside China).
dude, just reed hedline. there is not montion of sale in china or world, we are talking about biggest producing numbers
the headline itself is enough to avoid mistakes:
IN CHINA
Xiaomi doesn’t even sell globally except 4 or 5 countries, so why would someone compare them globally?
MAKER, #1 phone maker in CHINA
you know what meker do?
it is not inportant to this news where they sell that devices…they are producing them in China, and Xiami make less devices then Huawei.
If they have done better job with Mi4i, and it sale was as they expectet maybe they would be bigger, but they are not.
i feel I’m talking to a 7 years old kid.
the article is about MARKET SHARE in CHINA
for your convenience this is the meaning of market share:
http://www.investopedia.com/terms/m/marketshare.asp
during Q3 Huawei SOLD (and not simply made) a number of devices in CHINA to guarantee them a market share of 18.7%
Xiaomi SOLD devices in CHINA gaining a market share of 12.7%
there’s no data about how many devices are MADE by the 2 companies because this number is irrelevant, plus Xiaomi is not a public company so you won’t get those numbers.
you keep bringing up the MI4i which is not sold in China and has nothing to do with this news.
below there’s a picture in case it could help you understand, who knows, this is my last attempt, avoiding responding because i really don’t know what else i can do for you https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/058ef36cedd6142bd3e9f14fe36d63c09673818739e01a2ce035656ed80bb240.png
dude, just go back and READ this article where are writing right now.
you realy are dumb fuc**r: jus read what is in front ow you, or ask your mother to read it for you as, obviously you can understand.
“The exact sales figures haven’t been obtained as yet, and are numbers for the third quarter for this year, i.e., Q3 2015. Huawei has tasted success with its new Honor 7 smartphone, while Xiaomi has had to make a comeback with the Redmi Note 2 after the Mi 4i failed to grab the market share the company would’ve hoped for.”
so, one more time, I DID NOT MENTION MI4i first, THIS ARTICLE DID!!!!
and if you say Mi4i is not on sale in China, then tell me why are they talking about it!?
ah, yes…it is because they are talking about how “Huawei, and not Xiaomi is the number one phone maker in China (with regards to smartphone volume)”.
you are really hopeless.
i give up
dude, go hit your head off the wall. maybe it will hel you
i don’t think it will help, i really need to crack it open to start thinking like you.
nope, you are so stupid that only solution for you is to die… no help for you dude. hitting your head in the wall would just maek wall a hero.
anyway, you did not tell me why did they wrote obout Mi4i bad sale in this article, which you said yourself is not available in China, if this is only wroten about “Chine market”!?
bla bla bla. are you still talking about it?
get a life
