Now that companies have realized that it is Windows tablets that buyers want, they’re starting to experiment with the hardware.
After 2GB RAM tablets took over the world (figuratively speaking, of course), its now the turn of inexpensive 4GB RAM devices to start making an appearance. While we’ve seen some in the past as well, the Pipo W1S looks interesting because it’s fairly affordable.
At $233, the Pipo W1S brings a Windows 10 machine with 4GB RAM, 64GB on-board storage and an Intel Atom X5-Z8300 to the table. Other specifications of this new tablet include a 10.1 inch 1920 x 1200 pixel display, an Intel HD Graphic (Gen8) GPU, and a 6000mAh battery. There’s a couple of cameras on there too: a 5 mega-pixel rear, and a 2 mega-pixel front facing sensor.
As mentioned before, the W1S runs Windows 10 out of the box.
For now, the Pipo W1S can be pre-ordered for $233. 16th November is when the device is expected to start shipping, so if you’re in for an early Christmas gift this season, the Pipo W1S might be something worth considering.
A dual booth version of this kind of configuration won’t be bad. Chuwi, hope u are seeing this
I believe there will be a dual boot version before Xmas as that’s what I’m in the market for.
