We’ve seen the power of the BV5000: it is strong enough to serve as a cutting board in the kitchen and withstand coats of paint, ice baths, and even construction work. Despite the constant debates we hear and read about the never-ending form vs. function debate, it can’t be denied that ruggedized phones, pretty or not, sure hold up better than most “premium” designs. That isn’t to say that premium smartphones can’t resist the elements, but ruggedized phones often specialize in dust, water, and element resistance in a way that “vulnerable” glass and metal smartphones cannot.
The BV5000 is ready for whatever you throw at it, but is it ready to make its way to you? That’s the question inquiring minds want answered, and BlackView is happy to answer it with a resounding “yes.” The BV5000 is ready to ship, with the latest evidence coming from within the factory itself.
New photos show the phone components assembled and packaged, as well as boxed and stacked to roll out from the factory to ready buyers. This is good news for online retailers and customers who don’t want to wait to get their hands on an excellent phone, and it means that BlackView is doing all it can to make sure their ruggedized phone gets in your hand quickly, with as little delay as possible.
Gizchina News of the week
The BV5000 features a 5-inch, IPS LCD screen with a 1280 x 720p screen resolution, a 1Ghz, 64-bit quad-core MediaTek MT6735 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of ROM with expandable storage up to an additional 32GB, 2MP front camera, 8MP back camera, dual-SIM slots, 4G LTE, OTG reverse charging, and a monstrous 4,780mAh battery that will get you through 2 days without worry – all while sporting an IP67 water and dust protection rating that will allow it to stay under water for 10 minutes. With an 11.9mm body, it’s clear that this phone is not for the “thin and light” smartphone customer who thinks of any phone with a 10mm+ thickness measurement to be too heavy. The faint of heart, or in this case, hand, need not buy. If you want to pick one up, head on over to retail store Everbuying to purchase your BV5000.
We’ll keep you updated as more information surfaces, but rest assured: the BV5000 is on its way. Until then, check out BlackView’s video above for an inside look at just how the BV5000 was made.
I can’t work out why rugged = lowest specs. I’d be happy to buy top spec phone with rugged design.
Mine was delivered two days ago to my US address. Unfortunately I won’t get my hands on it for a few more weeks.
