Gionee Elife S6 coming next month with MT6735, AMOLED display

Gionee has been rather proactive in the recent past. After announcing the flagship Elife E8, the company also launched a few other entry-level and mid-range phones aimed at developing markets.

The Elife S series, on the other hand, sits somewhere in between the entry-level phones of Gionee and the high-end flagships… with mid-range specifications and high-end design.

The Elife S7 was the last phone we saw from this series. If fresh leaks are to be believed, there’ll be the Elife S6 coming next month.

Gizchina News of the week

As for the specifications of this phone, it’ll be more entry-level than mid-range (that is, as far as processing prowess is concerned) with an MT6735 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB on-board storage and a 5.5-inch 1280 x 720p display. The Elife S6 will run Android 5.1 with Amigo 3.1 on top of it.

With a 13 mega-pixel rear camera, the Elife S6 is said to have a 5 mega-pixel sensor on the front… and a 3150mAh battery.

As the TENAA leaks show, the device also reminds me a little of the OnePlus Mini that’s expected to debut in the coming days… doesn’t it?

The Elife S6 is expected to launch 16th November.

It would actually be re-re-re-branded because the IUNI N1 shares the same design with the Elife 5.1 (just a tad bit thicker and a few cosmetic changes).

Not cheap lol. For an entry level Gionee expect to pay at least $200.

Haha Gionee phones are never cheap but they are some of the best built phones and they always have good cameras. Amigo is not great however.

I will wait for Allview to rebrand this model then I can tell if its worth it or not judging by the price.
