Rumoured Oukitel U7 is going to put the Pro in Projector

U7 Pro Projector

The current Oukitel U7 Pro is a budget phone with 5.5-inch display and curved 2.5D glass panel, however an updated model might come soon with built-in projector.

We see Chinese phone makers build slight variations of current models in an attempt to boost sales. Usually these changes take the form of higher resolution displays, more RAM, larger storage or a bigger screen, but rarely so we see the addition of a projector.

Gizchina News of the week

Yes, it sounds like Oukitel are aiming to put the Pro in Projector with the launch of an updated U7 Pro. This new model will see a smaller 5-inch display with built-in 50 lumen projector for a HD cinema experience.

If the phone in the above photo is the U7 Projector model then it looked like the screen will have a silver border and curved body to fit snuggly in your palm. The 50 lumen projector could make this a cool gadget for use indoors or even outside. What do you think?

Sure many people will like it. But do they want it? That’s a total different thing.

I saw some of this before in the 2009 and 2010 years when phones from china were emerging and Android was on diapers…

Battery time will be a significant question with this one. …and if they really think about using it from your palm than an anti-shaking system is a must too.

50 lumens is a joke. completely worthless.
    stupid gimmick in my opinion.
but i like that oukitel is pretty much just throwing everything out there and seeing what sticks. keep trying oukitel…now add us bands and I’ll buy a couple phones just to tinker with.

galaxy beam and beam 2 failed only in sale, but people who actually bought one are very pleased with it. Maybe beam failed because it sound worse on paper than it is in reality. My beam 2 has only 25 lumens and it sounds very little compared to real video projectors but in a unlit room it is very watchable and you don’t get the feeling it needs more lumens as long as you keep the projection size around 50-60 inches.
