RAMOS MOS 1 Max announced full specifications

ramos mos 1 max phablet launched

RAMOS launched their second smartphone of the year today and their first phablet device with high-end audio equipped.

Earlier this year RAMOS launched the MOS 1 smartphone, today it is the launch of the larger MOS 1 Max, a phablet device with similar design but high-end audio processors.

Pricing for the Mos 1 Max is 2799 Yuan in China, which is quite expensive in todays market and would normally suggest a high-end processor, but in this case the Max comes with a basic octacore MT6735 from Mediatek. In all honesty this is a fine processor, but the high price of the device really warrants something a little more potent.

Accompanying the octacore chipset is 3GB RAM and 32GB storage, 13 mega-pixel main camera, and 8 megapixel front. A 6.44-inch 1920 x 1080 2.5D glass panel means this RAMOS is a phablet and is only slightly smaller than some of the companies tablets. Although the phone looks like a bezel-less design it actually has black borders around the screen, also the navigation buttons are on-screen.

Features which have the phone around out from the rest of the crowd are the large 6010mAh battery, and ESS ES9018K2M audio decoder for professional audio HIFI sound and quality. Those are neat features, but it still doesn’t make the pricing any easier to swallow.

RAMOS are using their own ROM on the MAX based on Android 5.1, and either the ROM features a yellow background on the menu screens or this display is suffering terribly from screen yellowing.

I liked it. But seeing it on photos it makes me doubt. Especially the yellow tint and the price.

They should delay it a while and drop the helio x20 in it and then I may reconsider! Also where’s the speaker(s)?

We need more audio-centric devices of this magnitude. I mean, what could be better than running with a laptop strapped to your arm?

I loved the 6.44″ Umi Cross and I was soooooo looking forward to the MOS 1 MAX especially with great battery 6000+mah and decent memory…. but only having mt6735 destroyed the deal for me. Was hoping for helio p10 or x10 and would have paid more for it… Disappointed :'(

I was waiting for it, the price is high but I would buy it, even in this price with a decent processor. Ramos , you cant have both, or you gave us specs and charge high price or you gave us a entry level specs and charge less.
I think I’ll buy the lenovo 920 with 2k / 6inch screen , snapdragon 801 and etc for much less.
    What a disapointment.
