The Oppo Find 7a is still the current Oppo flagship (although launching way back early 2014) the phone has seen great popularity meaning a ton of dev support which means Android 6.0 has already made its way to the device.
The Oppo Find 7a is the basic version of the flagship Find 7 with 3GB RAM and a 1920 x 1080 display, it is also the basis of the original OnePlus One that released in 2014. The phone has been on the market for a long time now and enjoys a ton of developer support so it’s no surprise that Android 6.0 Marshmallow has already been ported to run on the device.
A video (above) shows the Oppo Find 7a running Android 6, but also shows that applications such as Facebook, Google Play Store, and Messenger are all working on the build too.
Gizchina News of the week
In addition to the above video, another video shows a screen cast from the Oppo Find 7a running Cyanogen CM13 also based on Marshmallow.
The video and news is exciting but it get’s even better as a thread on the XDA forums has download links where Find 7a owners can download the system and install it for themselves. Just remember that doing so may result in damaging your phone so do so at your own risk.
“The Oppo Find 7a is the basic version of the flagship Find 7 with 3GB RAM and a 1920 x 1080 display”
It’s not really important but fyi : Find 7 = 3GB RAM VS Find 7A = 2GB RAM
Back in time (April 2014) 3GB RAM was luxury.
BTW thx for the news (as the selfish F7A owner i am would say)
Haha yes! I remember thinking wowee when I saw the OPO had 3GB Ram for the first time, now 3GB is the norm and 4GB is the premium.
And it really wasn’t that long ago…
