Today’s big news is the launch of the OnePlus X, we already announced the specifications of the budget phone here, now we have pricing info and a great hands on video to check out.
So first of all the OnePlus X is going to cost $249 in the U.S and 250 Euros in Europe which makes it affordable when compared to larger brand phones of the same specs and also more affordable than the ZUK Z1 with the same processor. Of course the OnePlus X is a device that will attract a different clientele than the ZUK though and has a much more impressive design and build quality to match.
The all glass phone has 2.5D curves on the front Gorilla Glass 3 panel and the ceramic rear panel, and to keep those glossy surfaces safe a number of protectors will be offered with carbon or wood finishes. The body itself will be available in Black or While with either silver or gold metal finish.
At 6.9mm the OnePlus X is thin and has an machined alloy chassis around the body. The chassis has the 3 position notification switch like the OnePlus 2, but a standard USB seems to have been employed.
The international version of the OnePlus X will come with Oxygen OS which OnePlus have had plenty of time to get running smoothly on the Snapdragon 801 and 3GB RAM as it’s the same hardware as the OnePlus One. The Android based system will show on a smaller 5-inch 1920 x 1080 AMOLED display however which will offer deep black colours that can also help improve battery life should you choose to run a black wallpaper.
Speaking of the battery it is a 2525mAh battery built in to the phone. This might sound small, but considering the hardware and the size and resolution of the screen it’s actually more than adequate.
A micro SD card means that you can insert 128GB cards in to the phone, which is necessary due to the 16GB of internal storage, however using a SD means you can only use one of the 2 nano SIM slots.

ooh ooh .. ME !
No. Le1s is 5.5″, this one is 5″. That’s totally different camp.
Second, I still would choose anytime SD801 over Helio X10.
Anyway, I don’t trust anymore oneplus and their oxygen os.
I love the SD801 but I wouldn’t choose it over X10. X10 is an amazing chip for both power and efficiency.
Agreed, Helio X10 is better, power efficiency/performance, and its a 64bit SoC multicore optimized. Android loves that (and me too)
But it should be possible to install CyanogenMod on it. That would be a big advantage of the phone.
The Le 1s is better than the X but they are different size so different audiences… This is a nice phone but xiaomi and “”meizu”” have better offerings as well as huawei etc etc. Le 1s will be on my way as soon as I know for sure how much will it cost in the us.
Dont worry about the 5.5 inch the design are sleek enough moreover it offer more value for the money. AND for anyone who want a 5 inch phone i’ll recommend mi4 or mi4c because this two have better camera sensor with 13mp f2.2 + 8 f1.8 for mi4 and 13mp f2.2 improved ver of mi4camera sensor(imx214)> imx258 + 5 wide angle
For one plus X it got 13mp f2.2 + 8mp f2.4 not to mention about mi4c sd808 under the hood. Mi4 is still a good choice but mi4c($2353gb32gb) is a far better choice
I need a phone not bigger then 5″, with Europen LTE (no LeTV, Xiaomi, Meizu has it) and SD slot. So my choices are limited.
I will probably decide between Bluboo Xtouch and OnePlus X.
I hope the OPX will receive Android 6.0 while I don’t believe the Bluboo will ever get it. This will decide.
I’m with Vlada. The OnePlus X has the better size (personal of course), an SD-slot and support for band 20. All missing on the Le 1s.
