The Cube iWork 8 Ultimate is another such device. It’s only $85, but seems to offer a lot for that… at least on paper.
To start off, the iWork 8 has an 8-inch 1280 x 800 pixel IPS display, an Intel Atom X5-Z8300 processor which gets 2GB of RAM and 32GB of on-board ROM to work with, 2 mega-pixel camera on the front and rear respectively, and a 3300mAh battery.

You’ll be able to hook the tablet up to your monitor and make a slightly more comfortable work station (with a keyboard and mouse attached), but for the most part, the iWork 8 Ultimate should be an on-the-go productivity machine that doesn’t cost much.
It comes with a microSD card slot, along with an HDMI port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a micro USB OTG port. The achilles heel here, I feel, is the battery; but for $85 the iWork 8 Ultimate seems like a nice companion during travel.
Should the Atom processor not conserve the battery??
