Elephone now officially in Israel

elephone p7000 review

If you have visited the post office in Israel recently you might have been surprised to see Elephone promotional material marking their entry in to the market.

Elephone have officially announced that it has teamed up with Family Link to distribute Elephone phones in Israel. To mark the launch promotions are taking place at physical stores and post offices where the Elephone P7000 is being marketed at 1599 NIS. Those of you not familiar with Israeli New Sheqel might be shocked to discover that 1599 NIS is actually $414 USD!

The Elephone P7000 was the flagship Elephone everyone wanted to get their hands on at the start of the year and features a fingerprint scanner on the rear, 3GB RAM, Mediatek 64bit processor, dual SIM, micro SD card, 13 mega-pixel Sony IMX214 rear camera and 3450mAh battery.

Online reseller pricing for the Elephone P7000 is around $200, but with the P8000 already on the market, the Elephone Vowney launching soon and P9000 on the way we don’t know how many people are going to want the P7000 these days.

Quite frankly THAT’S A LOT OF MONEY FOR A P7000. I had one requested but it took them ages to send to me so I canceled the order. But it has a mtk6752 which is a very nice SoC if you ask me as I’m using one as I’m writing. We know that it can bend as all phones will under specific abuse and that it has black bessels, i got it, is an Elephone but The P7000 is a phone that with a good software optimization (camera and ROM) would be very good. And we all know it even if Elephone themselves don’t .

Weird, I’m from Israel but i don’t see the phone on the main price comparison website (ZAP). Anyway everything is crazy expensive in Israel, that’s why I usually order from China or bring stuff from Russia or the US. It’s an expensive country. Anyway, good to hear Elephone is here, good for competition.

But do you live there or spend significant I’ve time there? I mean there’s this guy in the next comment saying “You can buy a LG G3 3GB for the same price”, and the next one saying whatnot, so if you know give us some light. Telephone could be expensive but it could just be relative expensive if the others are the same or more expensive (which is what would be expected)

No, I lived here all my life. Yes, its true that you can get the G3 for the same price here. You can get a OPO for the same price as well. With that in mind, i really dont see Elephpne here..maybe its too early still.

That is indeed a very lame marketing strategy.
Elephone’s reputation was just one the rise in Israel since they announced the beast Vowney for less than 300$ and due to the upcoming P9000 Hellio X20 device. Can’t get it, how comes that the p7000 is actually more expensive than most Xiaomi/Huawei/Meizu/etc. smartphones in Israel…

Great marketing tactic there Elephone, price yourselves out of the market so no one buys them, that way no one will know your phones are sh*t and your reputation won’t get damaged!
