InFocus are best known for their budget projectors, but the US-based electronics manufacturer is fast upping the ante on the smartphone scene.
The newest InFocus smartphone, the M535, is a 9,999 INR ($152) smartphone that appears to offer quite a bang for your buck. First and foremost, the M535 has a unibody design that although has started to appear in the $150 price segment, isn’t all that common.
Second, the smartphone actually seems to have some decent specifications: there’s a 5.5-inch 1280 x 720p HD display with Gorilla Glass 3 on top, a 1.5GHz quad-core MediaTek 64-bit processor (presumably the MT6732), 2GB of RAM, 16GB on-board storage and a 2600mAh battery.
Gizchina News of the week
The cameras sitting on the front and rear of the InFocus M535 are 8 mega-pixel and 13 mega-pixel in resolution respectively. Speaking of the rear of the phone, it reminds you a bit of the UMi Iron, which in my opinion is a very good looking device.
4G LTE support is another something that InFocus are betting big on. The M535 is currently on sale in India for 9,999 INR in Silver and Gold color options.
