Elephone spill the beans on Ecoo E06 with Helio P10 chipset

ECOO E06 Rose Gold VS Gray

In news today, Elephone admit that they own Ecoo and at the same time post details of the Ecoo E06 boasting a powerful Mediatek MT6755 Helio P10 SoC.

While these photos don’t quite give us a clear look at the Ecoo E06, details where they were posted at least confirm who owns the phone maker and partial specifications of the new smartphone.

Posted on Elephone’s Facebook page today, the Ecoo E06 will come in either a grey or rose gold colour option with a design similar to the Elephone M1 we reviewed here. The design isn’t exactly the same as it seems that the rear camera on the E06 protrudes slightly and the rear cover seems to be removable.

E06 Helio P10

The images go on to show us dual speakers and a Type C USB in the base of the phone, while another partial screen shot confirms a black bezel design around the display and the use of a Mediatek MT6755 Helio P10 processor.

Chatting with Elephone we have also discovered that the screen will measure 5.5-inch with FHD 1920 x 1080 resolution and manufactured by LG. The new USB standard will be a 3.0 version for faster file transfer, and that octacore processor will run Android 6.0 out of the box.

These specifications do seem similar to the base model Elephone P9000 Lite which have been released in earlier leaks and chances are the devices are based on the same board. Elephone haven’t announced pricing yet, but a release before Christmas is expected.

Appears that way, guess we will have a new ECOO flagship every month and no after sales support.

Elephone has been known to borrow from Huawei in the past. I wouldn’t mind it if their phones were at least good. Personally I don’t care about similar looking except when the phone sucks.

Ecoo E04 3GB Lite model has sneaked out completely under the radar, seems to be a up/downgrade on SOC, from 6752 to 6753. Reduced price for both make original a great buy at moment especially as more recent versions seemed to have a greatly improved camera. Son has early 2GB model and loves it.

i have the 3gb version. no regretsss. but camera could be better by software but thats the price to pay for a very good phone with low cost, something has to give in.

Indeed, I think they spoiled the camera with poor interpolation algorithm from 13mp to 16mp as core unit is a good 13mp Omnivision. My son’s 2GB model has a focus issue also, but we couldn’t be bothered to return. But it every other way it is a great phone.
