Last week, Xiaomi released their latest earbuds at 99 Yuan and around the same time Meizu started to hint that they were planning a similar launch, here are a few images and details.
From the information that has been made available from sources in China, Meizu are planning to launch a standard headphone set, but priced above the latest Xiaomi earphones and be aimed at customers wanting the best in audio performance.
It’s believed that Meizu will continue with the trend for metal products with the headphones coming with a metal band and metal main body. Internally a bio-fibre diaphragm is understood be be housed the metal body for better vocal characteristic.
Media in China have posted purported leaked images showing white and black versions of of the headphone with wonderfully crafted alloy components. CNC machined arms and hinges really make these latest Meizu earphones a cut above what other Chinese phone makers have been offering.
It is reported that Meizu are set to launch their new headphones on the 9th November ahead of the Singles Day sales at a price of 499 Yuan. Will they be worth the high retail price? Let’s wait and see.
