Elephone P9000 gets the video hands on treatment

We’re still no closer to knowing when the Elephone P9000 might ship, but already a short hands on video shows us what to expect from the latest Elephone device.

Are you waiting for the Elephone Vowney? Yes, so are we, but there are also people now bypassing the 2K equipped Vowney in favour of the one of the new Elephone P9000 phones. As usual, Elephone haven’t been shy and have divulged much of the specification hardware for the P9000, P9000c and P9000 Lite ahead of launch and have followed that up with the above video.

For those of you not keeping tabs on the latest from Elephone (and who would blame you if you weren’t), the basic P9000 specifications for each model include a Helio P10 chipset, 5.5-inch FHD display, 4GB RAM, 21 mega-pixel Sony IMX230 rear camera, and Android 6.0 out of the box.

The phones will also feature fingerprint security and slightly altered designs depending on the version of the phone you opt for.

So what will it be for you? Elephone P9000 or Elephone Vowney?

I want to know why elephone makes such thick phone when others are rambling for thinner size? Is here anyone who feels elephone makes quality devices? Elephone always miss something, like they don’t provide gyro sensors, they sometimes miss a good camera optics system on top a top-notch sensor, or they miss quality build, sometimes put thicker bezel around screen.

i donΒ΄t find them thick if battery time and size depends on it, IMHO, hopefully this will be the case with these 2 guys MAXWELL is talking about.

Yep, nice and thick and they still manage to make the camera module protrude by a couple of mm, a pet hate of mine!

“thinner phone” doesn’t mean “better build phone”, infact i prefer builkish phones with decent battery and no structural issue… Sadly, this doesn’t happen in elephone case… :-/

Probably in the end they tried to turn on the phone, but the “black bezels cancelling codec” was missing, so the video crushed πŸ˜€

the Elephones are like the Abominable Snowman, everybody talks about him but nobody have ever seen him personally.
He shows up only in blurry pictures or he leaves behind only his big footprint (or fingerprint :D)

start shipping your effin’ phones Elephone so we can review them and decide if you are a myth or legend.

“myth or legend” are quite the same thing… You’re not giving them many chances, are you? πŸ˜€

well, while a myth is based on facts that never happened, the legend is a semi-true story.
i think I’ve been generous giving them the option of being a legend.

And Elephone should also consider calling themselves EFEphone. ?

Forget P9000, Ulefone Paris is the only device with the just right specs. It is always right that GPU is a little bit more than enough for the display resolution, because you can get a smooth phone, at least.

Yeah, cannot agree more. I don’t what Paris is like. But Elephone never made a phone for good use.

It’s damn right. Please Elephone, don’t install 2K display on P9000. Helio X10 has been perfect to drive the Full HD display on Meizu MX5. As for P10, though a little slower than X10, will do a fine job, too. But If you equip 2k, that’ll be a disaster.

the 2k model will have helio x20 according to what they said

basically, a back cover show-off. Was curious to see the bezel-less screen, but maybe they just stopped it before for the reason we all know…

hey did anyone happen to see that in their forum and official site the have been OTA updates to the P8000 as well as the P7000… i wanted to buy the P7000 now only if i could get it really cheap as with discounts it becomes really appealing more so if according to the guys at the forum is solving many problems… hopefully this OTA and updates trend will migrate to the all hyped VOWNEY and P9000
