Huawei’s known to be in the works to launch the Mate 8, but surprise surprise, there’s another Kirin 950-powered beast coming from the Chinese phone maker’s camps.
The device — Huawei P9 Max — was found to have been listed on a benchmark database with the new HiSilicon SoC which has sent a chill down Samsung’s spine.
As the name will have told you already, the P9 Max is set to succeed the P8 from earlier this year. The ‘Max’ suffix also suggests that it’s an extension to a standard P9, the existence of which is pretty certain already.
Besides sporting the new Kirin 950, the P9 Max was found to have been listed with a 6.2-inch display with a 2560 x 1440 2K resolution and Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The config allows the P9 Max to manage a respectable 73,759 points on AnTuTu.
Previous leaks have suggested that the P9 will have a dual-rear camera setup, and it is more than likely that the arrangement is carried forward to the P9 Max also.
Please keep me posted on this!!
price will probably out of my league. However I would love to own a +6″ device.
Wow I guess beggars CAN be choosers if they’re GizChina readers.
Nubia X6, welcome to 2014 but good luck finding one.
Or people want the best phone for the money and not a crappy Samsung from two years ago….
Wrong again. Its not about wanting value for money, its about people here wanting everything for the price of nothing. Chinese phones already give better or even possibly the best value for money over their international rivals but everyone here still seems to rant about pricing. I can’t think of a more unrealistic price sensitive group than the people here.
No it’s about people wanting the best value for their hard earned money. Chinese phones are an incredible value, but that doesn’t mean we have to fall in love with every single one thats released and lower are standards for what suits us.
how about a Letv One Max ye quite expensive still but the Updates they roll out are grat and i think it has 6.2 inch as well
