Elephone’s Ecoo sub brand are claiming a world’s first today with a short hands on video showing the phone runs a Mediatek Helio P10 chipset.
The Mediatek Helio P10, aka the Mediatek MT6755, is an upcoming SoC from the Taiwanese chip maker that will make its way in to plenty of new Chinese smartphones. The Ecco E06 is purported to be the first phone with the octacore chip, but the Elephone P9000 (from the same phone maker) will also be one of the ealier P10 releases.
The above video shows us the Ecoo E06 for the first time, and goes in to Antutu were we see some specification details of the phone. From the screens on display we see that the Mediatek MT6755 in the E06 has a Mali T860 GPU and will run at just under 2.0Ghz.
Antutu also reveals that this version of the Ecco E06 has a 1920 x 1080 display, 16GB internal memory and is running Android 5.1 Lollipop. Once released Elephone says that the Ecoo E06 will come with Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
It looks like elephone p7000. As I said earlier: RIP ECOO.
Elephone 7000 was very nice phone sir
Was. On a paper…
No thanx ELECOO!!
better be cheap AND great !
Cheap: almost sure.
Great: very little chance…
So what are the main differences between the p10 and the x10 ?
P10 is big.little, that’s the only thing we know by now for sure… Everything else we’ll see when p10 will come out!
On the start also thought that, and the specifications taught us about Big.little, but now seems that P10 will be a true OctaCore as normally Mediatek does. (To be honest, I think that is nice.
a quick look at the ram available confirms that Elephone can’t make a good rom to save its life!!
Stay away from this people
Liar!! I am sure that this company can use dual core SoC and show it as a octo core SoC with software cheat! Damn! I never trust.
there are lots of octa core cheapos SoC chill kiddo
Hold on. Ecoo is an Elephone sub-brand? When did this happen? Guess I must be out of the loop right now.
Ikr, this is news for me also.
