It is becoming more common to see Chinese phone makers target specific markets, and for Cubot and their low-cost P12 they are after customers in the UK and Germany.
Cubot have launch the Cubot P12, and other Cubot phones, on Amazon specifically targeting customers in the UK and Germany. The P12 is one of the more affordable phones in the range and will cost just over £80 from the CubotDirect store on Amazon.
UPDATE: Cubot tell us that in addition to their Amazon stores customers can also buy Cubot phones on their Ebay store here.
Gizchina News of the week
The Cubot P12 uses a 5-inch HD 1280 x 720 display, 1.3Ghz quad-core MT6580 chipset, 1GB RAM, and 16GB internal memory. The phone also sports a 2200mAh battery, HotKnot, USB OTG, 8 mega-pixel F2.0 rear camera and dual SIM support.
Build sounds good too with a 2.5D curved glass panel up front and stainless steel metal chassis holding the phone together. UK customers can buy Cubot phones here, while German customers can check them out here.
Cubot have become as prolific as Doogee and Elephone; not so sure that is a good thing.
And then I read MT6580. This is only good enough as a gift to your little cousin.
Sad you don’t like your little cousin.
Lol … just something to play with and not a serious phone.
85 POUNDS for a 60$ phone? Man, that’s quite the markup!
