There are hundreds of new Android phones with fingerprint scanner, and Doogee believe that they have made the most affordable ever with their new Y200.
Doogee have been making phones for their ‘Y’ line-up for around a year now. For those of you not familiar with the company the ‘Y’ range stands for ‘Youth’ and all phones in the range are designed to be as affordable as possible (so to attract students etc).
The Y200 is the next to be released and with the growing trend of fingerprint tech, Doogee wanted to make the phone as secure and cost-effective as possible.
What they have managed to do is build a 5.5-inch phone with physical home button and integrated fingerprint scanner. This is nothing new, but what is unique to the budge phone is the use of scratch resistant Sapphire glass and a GF516M security chipset, the same found in the Meizu Metal.

Apparently the sensor and chip are so accurate that users won’t even register the phone reading their print, with the phone making all the necessary calculations in only 0.15 seconds.
Doogee will also be integrating gesture control in to the home button too, allowing users to flick between pages by swiping on the sapphire glass button. Another very useful feature is app encryption allowing individual applications to require a fingerprint to be verified before opening.
The Y200 is set to be an affordable phone, but will keep a metal frame for strength and quality, and will features 2GB RAM and 32GB internal memory. Other specifications will be announced nearer to launch.
